Can this purchase be used to extend a current subscription? Or am I stuck with Apple’s automatic renewal which costs 50% more?

With 4 Macs and 2 iPhones and 3 users, I don’t know what I would do without it. It’s made life soooo much easier with the synchronization capabilities. that alone is worth the renewal. I even have the synchronization happening on the single Windoze machine in the house — and it works perfectly for us. Honestly, I don’t use the email aspects of this, but I probably should. I did extensively use the iDisk features — until my idiot IT people blocked it.
Some things I’d do….add more capabilities for Apple TV (I have 2). Have the ability to suck in Gmail/Hotmail into MobileMe mail (maybe it does???). Need an easier way to do “back to my Mac” — having NAT issues, and I know they can engineer MobileMe to reduce some of this, like Go To My PC does.
Yes…it’s pricey. But you get what you pay for, if you use those features. Sure, you can get them from Bill Gates and his followers, but they’re a hassle to use and you need to play with 3rd party software, and it’s simply a pain. That’s why I got rid of all but 1 of the Windoze computers. I have spent less than 10 hours in the past year fiddling with software and setups. I used to spend 10 hours in a week with something that started erroring out with Vista.

At home I use Mac, but at work I use a PC. On the Mac it works pretty good, but the PC not so. When you use it on a PC, it alwyas freezes up, mail is pathetic, and the online storage access is cumbersome.
